Oprah Shares Sunday's Wisdom
“Everything in this book comes from the spirit of what I've been trying to do on planet Earth since I recognized I had a calling.” - Oprah Winfrey
Tomorrow marks the first week of the debut of Oprah Winfrey’s new book, “Wisdom of Sundays: Life-Changing Insights from Super Soul Conversations.” The book is a compilation of “a-ha” moments from some of today’s most celebrated creative visionaries in spirituality, inspiration and enlightenment who have appeared as guests on Winfrey’s OWN network weekly show Super Soul Sundays.
To commemorate the book’s release, Lady O last Sunday invited some of the biggest names in TV, film, and business to her sprawling 65-acre Montecito, CA home for a “Super Soul Sunday” brunch fit for royalty. In addition to a menu featuring “the best fried chicken maker on the planet,” celebrity chef Art Smith, the star-studded event also included performances by singers Andra Day and Common, along with gospel singer BeBe Winans.

The 250-member guest list included celebrities like Oscar winner Julia Roberts, Oscar nominee Angela Bassett, Golden Globe nominee Kerry Washington, and Emmy nominee Chrissy Metz. Business leaders in attendance included Amazon’s Jeff Bezos and Netflix’s Ted Sarandos.
“Everything in this book comes from the spirit of what I've been trying to do on planet Earth since I recognized I had a calling,” said Winfrey. “It's sharing wisdom in a way that opens people up to the best of themselves." Oprah was stunning as always, showing off her 40-pound weight loss in a flowing pink chiffon pleated maxi skirt coupled with a soft pink v-necked top, ad accentuated with a jeweled belt at her slim waist and matching bracelets and ring to decorate her wrist and hands.
Entire proceeds of the book will be donated to charity, with Oprah’s Leadership Academy for Girls at the top of the list. "I wanted to do something that launches this book into the world in a way that leaves the people who are a part of it – all the ‘Super Soul’ guests, friends of mine – to come together and spread the word and message of this book," she said. “We’re at a crossroads in our human culture,” she said. “This is how you get woke.”
